Osaka: an itinerary

Osaka was small town charm, I was there for a day on an extended work trip. So here is a quick 2 day itinerary to help you explore Osaka. Sadly my Osaka itinerary is least useful in the food department! All I did was eat at 7/11

Tips

  • JRPass needs to be shipped to you in your home country so leave time for it to arrive.

Activities

  • Osaka castle

  • Visit the Dotombori district, a lively entertainment district with bright lights (GEICO man) and attractions.

  • Universal Studios Japan theme park*

  • Super Nintendo World*

  • Day trips nearby

    • Take a shinkansen (bullet train) to Kyoto or Tokyo

    • Take a day trip to Hakone, a resort town in the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, and see the beautiful scenery.

      • Visit Lake Ashi, a crater lake with views of Mount Fuji, and take a boat ride.

  • Meals

    • Try Okonomoyaki somewhere!

    • 7/11!!!!!!!

      • Waffles and pancakes

      • Egg sandwiches

      • Their coffee is also good - sweet just the way I like it

  • Drinks

    • %ARABICA for coffee

  • Souvenirs to buy

    • Get something embroidered at Uniqlo - like a shirt or something else
