Paris: a second time around
I am lucky enough to have visited Paris five times in my life. I have seen it while on a school trip, a business trip, with family and most recently with friends. So here is my Paris itinerary for the SECOND time you visit! You can check out my first timer’s itinerary here!
*Note: Things I researched but didn’t end up doing are denoted with a `` (asterisk)*
Activities
Hit up the Opera if it’s in season!
Museums:
Musée d'Orsay - has the best art collection in all of Paris
Musée de l'Orangerie - there is no better place to soak in Monet’s Water Lillies. This is also the smallest museum in all of Paris IMO so makes for a great quick visit if needed.
Musée Rodin* - for the sculptures!
Panthéon - yes there is one in Paris too :Shrug
Cluny Museum* - National Museum of the Middle Ages. While I have walked past this museum multiple times I have sadly never been inside!
Arab World Institute* - again a building I have crossed plenty of times but never been in! This too is beautiful modern architecture!
Fashion museums:
Bastille
Sit in the Place des Vosges
Take picture on this classic European street - Rue Crémieux
Walk along Cana Saint Martin
Walk through the Marché Bastille - a flea market!
Île de la Cité
Sainte Chapelle
Shopping:
La Samaritaine - a beautiful department store
Le Bon Marche - it’s also right next to Le Grand Epicerie if you want to do a two for one!
A.P.C. Surplus - outlet shopping!
Merci Paris for cute Paris souvenirs
Day trips
Giverny to visit the Monet foundation
La Vallee Village for great shopping at outlet prices!
Food
Meals
Le Relais Gascon - you can have a salad with fries! Enough said!
L'As du Fallafel - the falafel here was great! However the serving staff were rude and on a power trip!
Le Train Bleu for the Baba au Rhum
Snacks and drinks
Poilane for the baked goods and sables!
BRIGAT' - we just happened upon this bakery and it had great baked goods!
Hemingway Bar for drinks - it feels very American in Paris vibes!
Glace Bachir for ice cream with Lebanese flavours
Cédric Grolet for the entrements and pastries!
