Athens: an itinerary

Greece and very specifically Santorini have been on my list for ages. So when I had a week break between two work trips in Europe, stopping over in Europe was a no-brainer. Here is my itinerary for Athens!

I stayed at the Moxy Athens City as it was centrally located and I could walk any and everywhere!

  • Acropolis and Acropolis museum walking tour

    • Tip: Get your Acropolis pass yourself and get it for more than one day so you can use the same pass to visit the next sites!

  • Hadrian's Library

  • Ancient Agora of Athens

  • Stoa of Attalos

  • Temple of Olympian Zeus

  • Temple of Poseidon tour

    • Vouliagmeni Lake

    • Paralia Agios Nikolaos - definitely swim at one of these beaches!

  • Mount Lycabettus*

    • Appparenly sunset here is to die for!

  • Pittaki Street*

  • Vouliagmeni Lake (drove past it)

    • Ancient Greek Sandals Flagship Store - the best shoes!

    • Naxos Apothecary - go here as it has all the Korres products and then the sister line Naxos.
